Kyle Marchen

Kyle Marchen is a Canadian director and screenwriter whose films explore uneasy situations with a sharp, often offbeat sensibility. His work moves between tones and genres while staying rooted in character. Recent short films include A Mighty Poison (2026), Heap (2024), Sledgehammer (2022), and Habitat (2020).

Marchen was the recipient of the DRIFF Shifting The Narrative Film Incubator grant in 2022 with support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

He is currently developing hist first feature film.
